SLC56 front calipers are engineered as a high performance street and custom replacement for Corvettes and hot rods using Corvette suspension. These kits combine the high-tech styling and superior performance of the SLC56 calipers with the positive response, long wear, high fade resistance, and easy clean properties of the BP-10 compound Smart Pads. These kits are a direct bolt-on replacement for the OE calipers on all models of the C5 from 1997 to 2004, and all base model C6’s from 2005 to 2013 using the existing 12.8″ diameter OE dimension front rotors. Wilwood two pound and ten pound residual pressure valves retain a minimum brake line pressure to help eliminate excessive pedal travel in both disc and drum brake systems. The two pound valve is used in disc brake applications where the master cylinder is mounted below the horizontal plane of the calipers and fluid drain back occurs from gravity and vibration, thereby causing excessive caliper piston retraction and a longer brake pedal stroke. The minimal two pound residual pressure prevents fluid from flowing back without causing the brakes to drag. With drum brakes, a ten pound valve is used to compensate for return spring tension and maintain wheel cylinder sealing in the drums. Residual Pressure Valves are made from billet aluminum and color coded for easy identification. Valves with fittings are supplied with two 1/8-27 NPT to 3/-24 inverted flare female fittings that will fit most domestic 3/16th hard brake lines.

Wilwood’s Compact Combination Master Cylinders have been designed for limited space applications requiring the output capacity of a full size master cylinder. The ultra short 3.37″compact body provides 2.16″ of additional clearance between the mounting flange and the fluid outlet. A full 1.12″ of piston stroke meets or exceeds the stroke capacity of most full size cylinders. With 1/8″ NPT fluid outlet port located at the top radius of the cylinder bore, reduces the chances for trapped air. Enhanced fluid inlet port allows mounting of the standard reservoir included in kit and also contain 11/16-20 internal threads for custom reservoir arrangements. The black E-Coated aluminum body resists corrosion and maintains a durable long lasting finish.
